Description
This is a straight adapter fitting designed to connect a flexible hose to a threaded port. This fitting is used in performance automotive applications, pneumatics, and custom fluid routing.
Specifications:
• Material: lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum
• Finish: Black anodized finish, which prevents corrosion and provides a clean, stealthy look.
• Connection A (Left side): A 1/4" Hose Barb. This ribbed end is designed to push into a flexible rubber, silicone, or PTFE hose with a 1/4-inch inner diameter. The barb grips the inside of the hose, though a hose clamp is typically required to secure it under pressure.
• Connection B (Right side): A 1/8" MPT (Male Pipe Thread), also known as MNPT or NPT. This is a tapered thread that wedges into a matching female port to create a liquid- or air-tight seal (often assisted by Teflon tape or liquid thread sealant).
