Description

The 8300 series double adjustable, coil over shock provides the versatility of separate compression and rebound adjustments with the use of a remote or piggyback external reservoir. The wide adjustment range makes this shock easily adaptable to varying track conditions. Penske Racing Shocks are custom built to your exact specifications. No two cars are the same and an off the shelf shock wouldn’t work for all chassis. Their technicians consider chassis make, wheel base, tire size, horse power, power adders, four-link set up, and spring rates before building or valving your shocks. CNC machined to hold the tightest tolerances, the 8300 is the most repeatable and reliable double adjustable shock on the market.

Penske Advantages:
• Repeatable Performance – Increased Nitrogen Volume Yields Repeatability at Variable Running Temperatures
• Durable Aluminum Components are Lightweight
• Easily Adjustable – 20 Clicks of Compression and 40 Clicks of Rebound Allow Fine Tuning for Varying Track Conditions
• Revalvable – A Variety of Pistons and Shim Stacks Provide Unlimited Customization

What is the Adjustment Range of the 8300: 8300 has two external adjusters. The standard knob style compression adjuster allows for 20 different positions of adjustment and the range is generally 150 – 175 lbs. The most common rebound adjuster on the 8300 drag shock is hex style (air eyelet), providing 40 clicks of adjustment, and the range is between 200 – 400 lbs.

What is the Benefit to Using the Air Eyelet/Hex Style Rebound Adjuster: The air eyelet allows a more aggressive rebound setup on the launch, where it is most critical to control the chassis movements. At a set time after the launch, bleeding air out of the eyelet will soften the suspension, allowing it to absorb bumps.
