Tig Welder/Fabricator

RJ Race Cars, Inc./Quarter-Max Chassis & Racing Components is a custom race car shop and parts manufacturing facility located in Galesburg, IL. We are seeking skilled self-motivated individuals to join our team in building state of the art drag racing cars, chassis parts and components, and other custom fabrication. Applicants must possess advanced metal fabrication skills and must have welding experience. (Tig and Mig)

RJ Race Cars, Inc./Quarter-Max is family owned and operated, and is a recognized leader in the high performance and drag racing industry for over 35 years. Our 30,000 sq.ft. facility is very clean, air conditioned, and has excellent working conditions.

Sales Associate

RJ Race Cars, Inc./Quarter-Max® Chassis & Racing Components is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a full-time Sales Associate. RJ Race Cars, Inc./Quarter-Max is family owned and operated, and is a recognized leader in the high performance and drag racing industry for over 35 years.

The primary responsibilities for this position are the following: To provide phone and online order sales support to our customers and maintain assigned purchasing tasks. Our ideal applicant must have a background in basic automobile technology, is interested in automobiles and motorsports and possesses a sincere desire to learn technical details about vehicle systems.

Sales calls will consist of the following: Pricing and availability questions, tech questions, customer service questions, and order processing. The calls are to be answered in an upbeat, professional manner with customer satisfaction as the number one objective. Help customers select the correct products. Identify and capitalize on all sales opportunities. Gather billing and shipping information and enter orders in the computer. Other duties to be assigned as needed.

Purchasing tasks will consist of the following: Generating and submitting purchase orders. Monitoring and communicating status of back orders. Work closely with receiving department to confirm accuracy of purchase orders. Maintaining current part-specific purchasing information. Request quotes with different vendors to ensure optimal pricing. Other duties to be assigned as needed.

Skills and Abilities Needed:
To perform this position successfully, a qualified applicant should demonstrate the following competencies: Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, basic sales ability, and be able to interact and communicate well with others. Applicant must have strong initiative and be motivated to succeed. The candidate must be able to recognize, pursue, and capitalize on all sales opportunities. Applicant must have a background in basic automobile technology, is interested in automobiles and motorsports and possesses a sincere desire to learn technical details about vehicle systems. Must be able to multitask, coordinate, manage time effectively, meet previously determined department standards, and strive to increase both personal and team production.

Experience/Education Required:
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must have a High School diploma or possess a GED equivalent. College, phone, customer service, sales experience and the ability to speak multiple languages are a plus. Proficient in a computer environment.
