Description
Brake Stage Controller
The purpose of this device is to achieve consistent and precise control over the front brake pressure settings while staging the car without using the brake pedal.
The BSC and the line lock MUST be electrically in parallel to insure both are activated and deactivated at the same time. Not doing so could damage the master cylinder.
IMPORTANT: Electrical power for both the BSC and line lock MUST come from a source that is deactivated when the car is at speed, such as a first-gear switch. Failure to do so could result in front brake activation.
Typical line pressure settings will be 250-350 psi with LAMB brakes. Use 60 psi as your initial air pressure setting. Then adjust to your individual staging needs. For a BSC model #591, the air over brake pressure multiplier is 4.9 or approximately 5 to 1. For example, 100 psi air pressure will generate approximately 500 psi brake pressure.
